The Sun and the Wind

    Hello Children,

It's Monday again and today I am going to tell you a very interesting story of the sun and the wind.

    The Sun and the Wind

One day, and the wind had an argument. The wind said it was stronger and the wind said it was stronger. As they were arguing they saw a man walking down a lane.

"Look, there is a mand walking down the lane," said the sun, "Let's see who can take off his coat. The one who is able to do that will be considered stronger. Do you agree?"

"I agree but I will try first," said the wind confidently and bragged, "You'll see I will be able to do that in no time."

The sun agreed because lately the wind had gotten the habit of boasting a lot and the sun was fed up of it and so he agreed.

The wind began to blow hard. The man looked around him and then pulled his coat around him a little firmly. The wind blew even harder and tried to get into his coat to make him take it off. But the man pulled it even more tightly around himself. The more the wind blew the tighter the man pulled his coat. He was feeling very cold now and he was shivering. So much so that he had to sit down under a tree in a heap, trying to protect himself from the wind.

The wind just could not take off his coat and he had to give up!

Now it was the sun's turn to try and take off the man's coat.

The sun began to send warm rays down on Earth. The man began to feel warm and he sat up straight. The sun shone more brightly and the man loosened his coat as he felt warmer. The sun shone even more brightly. The man felt so hot now that he took off his coat!

The sun looked at he wind and said, "I told you I was stronger than you."

The wind did not say anything. It just blew away in a huff, knowing it had lost!
